Saturday June 9th was the first race of the year for Marissa. In the first heat she started on the pole and fell back on the start to finish 3rd. After crossing the scale that race we were told the kart and driver was weighing in at 260 pounds and only needed to weigh 235 pounds so we took off 20 pounds for the next race.

In the second heat Marissa started last and was able to work her way up to 3rd and held that position for the race. Marissa started 3rd for the feature and finished 3rd.
