Kyle Lee Beck

Kyle was born October 29, 1994 and soon discovered what was to become his passion – kart racing! Kyle began racing at seven years of age and hasn’t missed many races since. Kyle races with the Blackbird Racers Racing Team.

In the off-season, Kyle attends Pettisville High School in Pettisville, Ohio where he most enjoys studying Social Studies. Kyle’s favorite way to pass the time, other than racing, is to play baseball behind the plate for Pettisville where he currently catches for the Blackbirds. When he has down time and is feeling like a little relaxation, Kyle enjoys kicking back and watching this favorite TV show, “The Blue Collar Comedy Tour”.

Though his favorite tracks are the dirt ovals at Stateline Speedway in Edon, Ohio and Tunica, Mississippi, Kyle is a very versatile racer, also racing regularly on a concrete oval at the Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Michigan; and an asphalt road course at Palmyra Speedway in Palmyra, Michigan. Kyle had his best finish to date at the Stateline Speedway when he placed 1st in two heats and then won the feature race over 15 other karts at Stateline Speedway on Saturday, April 21st, 2007.

Butch Frey Equipment and E & E Truck Brokers, both of Archbold, Ohio, keep Kyle’s kart on the track while Dale Earnhart, Jr. and Sam Hornish, Jr. are Kyle’s racing mentors and keep him pushing for more and reaching for that checkered flag! Blackbird Racers use TSE Racing Engines and the Ultramax Racing Chassis.

Marissa Lynn Beck

Marissa was born May 20, 1998 and only a few short years later, at four years of age, began her kart career with Blackbird Racers. She attends Pettisville School, in Pettisville, Ohio and enjoys both reading and math. When Marissa slows down enough to flip on the TV she prefers either “Deal No Deal” or “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” In her off-season, Marissa enjoys both soccer and basketball.

Though her best finish ever – First Place - came at Palmyra Speedway, in Palmyra, Michigan, her favorite track is still Stateline Speedway in Edon, Ohio, just like her big brother, Kyle.

Much like her big brother, she also looks up to Dale Earnhart, Jr. and Sam Hornish, Jr., but adds Sarah Fisher to her list of favorites, as well. As in all racing careers, Marissa has had her fair share of crashes – with her “best” taking place in kid karts. She flipped over and landed – literally – directly on her helmet! Its good she has always been a little hardheaded! Butch Frey Equipment and E & E Truck Brokers are Marissa’s major sponsors, as well. Blackbird Racers use TSE Racing Engines and the Ultramax Racing Chassis.
